Panda Facts
Scientific Name - Alluropoda Melanoleuca
Pandas are 5 to 6 feet long.
Live alone except for mates and females with their young.
Pandas communicate by making honks, growls, and chirps. Their
cry almost sounds like a human babies cry.
Pandas can be found in mountains or jungles in Asia.
They like to eat bamboo roots, leaves and stalks.
Pandas stay in caves or dens to keep cool
Incredible Facts
A newborn panda isn't black and white, only white. After a month
the baby panda's trademark black spots appear.
A 350 pound Panda lives primarily on Bamboo. (That's a lot of bamboo.)
The Chinese word for Panda is Xiongmao. English translation is "giant cat bear".
